Discovery Cruise– 90 minutes

Kingston's Discovery Cruise, narrated by a caricature of Canada’s First Prime Minister and Kingston’s native son, Sir John A. Macdonald, provides a fascinating introduction to the sights and history of the 1000 Islands region and Kingston’s historic waterfront.

Kingston, Ontario's oldest city, and once the capital of early Canada, is now a UNESCO World Heritage Destination for its remarkable and well preserved 19th century defence fortifications.

The Discovery tour highlights the westerly 1000 Islands, Fort Henry, Martello defence towers, shipwrecks, classical architecture, Canada's Royal Military College and the imposing Kingston Penitentiary.

Daily departures are at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Summer Sunset Tours depart at 6:00 pm.

Heart of the Islands Cruise – 3 hours

The 1000 Islands start in Kingston and dot the St. Lawrence River for miles. Sir John A narrates a tour into the largest collection of small cottage islands known as the Admiralty group featuring a number of heritage properties including Napoleon's Hat, La Vignette, and Indiana Island. The cruise meanders through the beautiful Wanderer's passage, up the Bateau Channel, by the new Mandalay Mansion and culminates with the historic sights of Kingston.

3-hour cruises set sail up to 4 times daily with live entertainment on board.

Departures are at 12:30 pm most days and at 10:30 am and 2:00 pm in the summer. Reserve seating lunch is available on all 12:30 pm cruises.

Sunset Dinner Cruises – 3 to 3 ½ hrs

Our signature event, the dinner cruise combines a delectable meal, chef prepared on board with a choice of up to 5 entrees, live entertainment and an all around view while travelling on board the Island Star, a modern ‘Bateau Mouche’ styled ship with a glass top.

It’s an evening that seems to unfold in stages – beginning with an up close look at Kingston’s historic sites, followed by the sunset and colourful twilight, candlelit dinner, music, entertainment and finally dancing under the stars.

Summer departures are at 6:30 pm Wednesday to Sunday.
Spring sailings are at 6:30 pm, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
Fall dinners are at 5:30 pm on Friday, Saturday & Sunday evenings.
