Photography Assistant

Job Description:

As a Ticket & Retail Sales representative you will greet customers, introduce products and sell tickets. Since the ticket & retails sales representative is often the first person new customers meet, you will be an ambassador for the company and an expert on our products; you will help customers to make selections by offering suggestions and building customers’ confidence, and then complete their transactions using a retail point of sale system. 

In addition to your Ticket & Retail role, you will be responsible for photographing guests and selling the memories of their event in a professional, quality image.  You are in control of the photo process from capturing the image, processing, printing and the sale of the finished product.

You will also contribute to the success of the Kingston 1000 Islands Cruises & Trolleys team by accomplishing other tasks on the ships and trolleys, on the dock or at the office as needed.


Job Requirements:

We are looking for candidates who can deliver outstanding customer service in a very demanding, fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The best applicants will be well organized and adaptable, with excellent multitasking skills and a proactive approach to sales and customer service. Applicants must have excellent communication skills and an overall positive outlook. A successful candidate will not only be a team player but will also have the ability to work well alone, without direct supervision.

Experience using professional cameras and photography equipment including a Digital SLR is required. Successful candidates will be proficient at file management, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Excel. .

Experience in a retail or a customer-service oriented workplace is an asset.

Bilingual candidates are preferred.
