Our COVID-19 Measures

Guest First, Safety Always

Travel Advisory: Coronavirus Covid-19

At Kingston 1000 Islands Cruises we hold the safety and well-being of our guests and crew as top priority. Guest First, Safety Always is our commitment to you: ensuring a safe environment with the best health and safety measures implemented throughout your experience so that you can feel confident spending time on board with your family this summer. In response to Covid-19, we have introduced: passenger screening, physical distancing, designated cleaning crew and reduced capacities among many other preventative hygiene measures upon arrival and on board.

A Safe and Local Experience: We’ve proudly served our community for over 35 years bringing friends and family together for memorable experiences on the water. We plan to continue doing so: with new experiences celebrating our city and waterfront. We’ve designed these experiences to reduce duration, emphasize comfort and maintain fun.

Arrival and Boarding: This season, to limit interactions as much as possible, we will accept electronic boarding documents: printed or via mobile device, in place of physical boarding tickets. Guests are asked to have these documents ready and easily accessible upon arrival. During boarding we will require all guests to fill out a Safety Screening Card.

On Board: Signs, arrows and designated seating areas will be indicated throughout the vessel for your convenience. Please be aware and kindly respect these instructions for everyone’s safety. Roped off areas may not be used or entered to ensure adequate distancing between parties. Guests will be asked to sanitize when entering the vessel and frequently at designated sanitizing stations. You will also notice cleaning crew continually maintaining a clean environment on board.

We Ask for Your Help: The Public Health Agency of Canada has advised Canadians planning to travel to make modifications that will reduce the chance for viruses to spread. We ask you to consider your own risk, travel safely, and maintain best practices as much as possible. This includes washing your hands frequently, coughing into your elbow, and avoiding interaction with the public if you have or develop any potential symptoms of Covid-19.

We are proud of our team’s proven commitment to maintaining an outstanding standard of cleanliness and safety, however, guests should all be aware that risk of exposure to Covid-19 still exists.

Changes You Will Notice:

Safety Screening Cards which must be filled our at at time of boarding. View Sample.

Reduced Capacity by at least 50% on every sailing to ensure adequate distancing.

Frequent Cleaning of high-touch surfaces and key areas on board during departures.

Full Sanitization of the vessel between every departure with disinfectant application.
