Our COVID-19 Measures

Guest First, Safety Always

Travel Advisory: Coronavirus Covid-19

At Kingston 1000 Islands Cruises we hold the safety and well-being of our guests and crew as top priority. Guest First, Safety Always is our commitment to you: ensuring a safe environment on board with the best health and safety measures in place. In response to Covid-19, we have introduced passenger screening, physical distancing, and reduced capacities among many other preventative hygiene measures upon arrival and on board.

Vaccine Certificates: As of September 22, 2021 all members of your party will need to provide proof of full vaccination (two doses plus 14 days) to board a Kingston 1000 Islands Cruise.

We thank you for you understanding and look forward to welcoming you in Kingston, Ontario.

At Check In on the Wharf each member of your party, aged 12 and above, will be asked to show a printed/paper copy of your vaccination receipt along with proof of identity: this can be any piece of ID that indicates the passenger’s full name and date of birth. Photo ID, specifically, is not required. Birth certificate, citizenship card, driver’s license, or a government issued identification card including health cards will all be accepted.

Individuals can download and print their vaccine receipt from the provincial booking portal online. For further information and details on these new government requirements, please see the Province of Ontario’s Proof of Vaccination FAQ page.

Arrival and Boarding: This season, we will accept electronic boarding documents, printed or via mobile device, in place of physical boarding tickets. Guests are asked to have these documents ready and easily accessible upon arrival. During boarding we will require all guests to fill out a Safety Screening Card.

On Board: Signs, arrows and designated seating areas will be indicated throughout the vessel for your convenience. Please be aware of and kindly respect these instructions for everyone’s safety. Roped off areas may not be used or entered to ensure adequate distancing between parties. Please sanitize when entering the vessel and frequently at designated sanitizing stations. Crew will continually maintain a clean environment on board.

We Ask for Your Help: The Public Health Agency of Canada has advised Canadians planning to travel to make modifications that will reduce the chance for viruses to spread. We ask you to consider your own risk, travel safely, and maintain best practices as much as possible. This includes washing your hands frequently, coughing into your elbow, and avoiding interaction with the public if you have or develop any potential symptoms of Covid-19.

We are proud of our team’s proven commitment to maintaining an outstanding standard of cleanliness and safety, however, guests should all be aware that risk of exposure to Covid-19 still exists.
